What Every Season Taught Me About Life

Our lives move through seasons, the same way the year does.

There is a summer in each of us, when energy feels endless and the future feels wide open. We move fast in this season, chase, build, prove. It is not foolish. It is simply what youth is meant to feel like.

Then comes autumn. Quieter. The pace slows, and we begin asking different questions. What did I actually build. What was worth the effort. This is the harvest season, and harvest does not lie. It shows us exactly what grew from everything we planted.

Winter follows, whether we are ready or not. The leaves fall, the noise fades, and we are left alone with what is true. This is the season of loss, of aging, of grief. I will not pretend it is easy. But winter also asks something honest of us, to stop performing, and simply sit with what remains.

And then, quietly, without announcement, spring returns. New life rises from ground that seemed finished. Not a return to who we once were, but something new, grown from everything the earlier seasons taught us.

Here is what I have come to believe. We are not meant to stay in one season forever. We move through all of them, again and again, at different points, in different ways. And each one gives us something the others cannot.

Which season do you feel you are in right now?

I spent one full year creating a video on this exact idea, following each season through its own real weather, its own real light. It felt important to let time actually pass, the way it does in life, rather than simply talk about it.
